I’ll start this morning with a quote from my brother-in-law…
“I didn’t like the BLOG – but Steve McQueen was great in it.”
This was in response to my wife sending a number of people a text telling them that I started this website. Only Tom could come up with something like that.
Yesterday was a good day for the site as many people logged on and passed on positive comments to me. This site will only be as good as those who join AND participate. Looking for a place to vent after a frustrating day, send out a prayer request. Looking for guidance on how to bring daily prayer into your life – check out the different websites that will be posted here. Do you have a particular website your find inspirational, share it with us. My whole purpose for this website/blog was to come up with a way that we as men could “get together” but in a virtual way that best meets our schedules. If you like what you’ve read here, please invite others to join. I am still working on having others join who will help in writing or offering thoughts for our daily use. Fr. Jack is one of them…he has offered to post his daily homilies that will help in our thoughts about the day’s readings or the saint of the day, etc.
Just a two quick thoughts after reading today’s scripture for the Mass – First, try and find the inside of a confessional this weekend (hopefully with a priest in it). Today’s first reading cries out for us to go to confession…
Thus says the Lord GOD:
If the wicked man turns away from all the sins he committed,
if he keeps all my statutes and does what is right and just,
he shall surely live, he shall not die.
None of the crimes he committed shall be remembered against him;
he shall live because of the virtue he has practiced.
Second, pass this onto a friend who has become lost, who has lost that desire to either go to weekly Mass or confession.
God’s will – not mine – be done.
Be not afraid.
Jesus, I trust in You.
