Sorry about the past couple of days – Sarah and I have been on the road traveling. Hope all is good in your world. It was really nice to have some time alone with my wife even though all we did was drive for the past two days. Never the less, we had some great conversations, said a rosary together, looked out over the Flint Hills in Kansas. I know, we are really an exciting couple aren’t we.
Am I trying to make a point out of this? If I am, it is simple. Do something with your spouse today – or sometime soon – that just gives you some one on one time away from the “race”, away from the kids and in my case, away from the cats. It doesn’t have to be an extended stay away – we left on Wednesday afternoon and were back at home on Thursday afternoon – but just take that time to be with each other. In that short period, we were able to talk about faith, family, finances, retirement (yeah – kinda scary that that conversion has snuck in). We shared a couple of quiet meals together, prayed together. It was just a refreshing 24 hours. That’s all I got today.
Do something great for our Lord – do a mini getaway with your spouse.
God’s will, not mine, be done.
Be not afraid.
Jesus, I trust in You.
Love this! It’s the simple things that are the most meaningful.
