One of the regulars who follows this blog made a comment about being able to participate more with the blog, wanting the ability to have “conversations”. When my daughter Cecilia was in town last week, this is one of the features we worked on with this site, the ability to have everyone contribute and converse about matters of the faith with each other. It’s time to give it a try. Today’s topic – what is your favorite part of Mass? Be as brief or as “long-winded” as you want with your response, I’m curious to see if the changes we’ve made will allow this conversation. My wife and recently purchased the DVD series Bishop Barron produced called the Mass. I’ve only seen the first two episodes, but I do want to start discussing the Traditions that make our Mass the beautiful experience it is.
So, here goes our first attempt at our virtual conversation…what is it you find most inspirational about the Mass?
I like that the readings, the psalm, the gospel, and the music all tie together. It helps get the message across

My favorite part of the mass is the music. For me it enhances everything. It helps me to connect with the readings and the gospel. It makes me feel closer to God. And quite honestly, if the music isn’t great, it makes me feel as if I didn’t get enough out of the mass.
