Friday the 13th. OOH. Are you superstitious? Are you looking for those darn black cats? It’s amazing how an entire industry is based upon this superstition. To further along your education, I’ve attached a link on the history of Friday the 13th.
I know 2 people who don’t subscribe to this superstition, my oldest (and only) sister Janice’ and my youngest brother Jay – the train and the caboose. Both were born on this day – the 13th of July, one in 1950 and the other in 1972. Ah my humor, one of these dates is incorrect…sorry Jay. Happy birthday to my beautiful sister and to the brother who finished second in golf last Friday (to me). I hope you both have a great day.
Back to Friday the 13th…let’s take away the 13th. Back to Friday. What do you think of on Friday? As for me – the Sorrowful Mysteries…The agony in the garden; The scourging at the pillar; The crowning of thorns; Jesus takes up His Cross; Jesus dies on the Cross. Find some time today to pray the Rosary. Take some time to think about the sacrifice Jesus fully committed to – for me, for you, for all who believe.
Do something great for our Lord today – watch the Passion and not Friday the 13th Part 256.
God’s will, not mine, be done.
Be not afraid; just have faith.
Jesus, I trust in You.
Thank you Jerry but I was born in 1960. LOL
Love you!!
