For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day.

Yesterday was All Saints day in our Church calendar; today – All Souls.  We pray for those whom we love and have gone before us.  May their souls rest in peace.  St. Mary Magdalen has a for a number years celebrated this Mass by inviting all the families who’ve buried a loved one in the past year to a Memorial Mass and after the homily, we spend a few moments reading their names and lighting a candle in their memory.  It is one of my favorite Masses that we celebrate.  Take some time this morning and throughout the day to remember those in your family who have died.  Pray for their soul and spend sometime thinking about the good they did for you.

Again, don’t forget to pray today at 3 PM for peace in our world; for the protection of everyone against the temptations of the devil.  Just a few minutes of prayer in silence, a few moments out of your busy schedule, could go a long way in bringing peace back to our world.

I wanted to post a song that our choir will be singing on Sunday, but seems the Holy Spirit guided me to a different one.  Simply hit this link at 3 PM today and listen to this beautiful song crying out for peace on our broken world.

Prayer for Peace

Heavenly Father bring peace to our world.  Give me the strength and patience of Job in fighting my temptations brought on by Satan.  In my weak moments, have St. Michael the Archangel be at my side to save me from the snares of evil.  Even though I am a sinner, guide me down the path of righteousness so all who encounter me along the way can find the love and peace that I have with you.  Forgive me of all my sins and bring peace back to the world.  In Your great name I pray for Peace.

Do something great for our Lord today.  First, pray for you loved ones who have died.  Pray for their souls and the souls of all who have died.  Second, pray for peace (especially at 3 PM).

God’s will, not mine, be done.

Be not afraid; just have faith.

Jesus, I trust in You.
