When was the last time you hosted a great party, Thanksgiving, Christmas, a wedding? How much time did you take preparing for that, making sure the house (and the bathrooms) were cleaned; prepping and preparing the meal; putting the list of people to invite together; sending the invitations. There is a lot of time involved with this and I’m willing to be when all was/is said and done, the effort you put forth was well it and good times (and memories) were had by all. Where am I going with this?
You have a most welcome guest who is coming – His coming has been proclaimed on top of the highest mountains and in the lowest valleys for quite some time now – one might say for a couple of millennia. How are your preparations coming for the coming of Christ? Are you prepared? If you would take the time to plan out for the parties and festivities mentioned above that last for a couple of hours, wouldn’t you want to take that much more time to be ready to greet the SAVIOR OF THE WORLD? That party will last for eternity!!
Think about that for your 10 minutes today. HE IS COMING – the question is are you ready?
Do something great for our Lord today – get ready, be ready for His coming.
God’s will, not mine, be done.
Be not afraid; just have faith.
