Their sins and their evildoing I will remember no more. Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer offering for sin.

One quick thought I will offer today.  Today’s Gospel talks about how the seed is sown, how the Word of God is received and what type of soil it will take root in.  My one thought for you today is how are you cultivating your soil to receive that seed?  Take a look at today’s first reading and think about this…Christ has offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin, yes?  Sin is around us and effects our thoughts and actions daily, yes?  Confession is a sure way of washing us free from these sins so that the sins can’t take root in us, yes?  Confession is the best way to cultivate our “soil” so as that the Word of God, Christ Jesus Himself, can take deep root in our lives and we can bear fruit one hundred fold.  Not yes? but YES.

Do something great for our Lord today – plan to get to confession soon.

God’s will, not mine, be done.

Be not afraid; just have faith.

Jesus, I trust in You.

He must increase; I must decrease.
