Turn to the Lord in your need, and you will live.

I offer the following prayer (from today’s responsorial psalm) to the people who are on my daily rosary.  I found the responsorial psalm this morning to be rather uplifting.  So as they pray for God’s strength, as you read this today, offer this up on their behalf.  If you know of others that are mentioned here, add their name(s) to your prayer.  So to you Sarah, Judy, Bernice, Jeff, Mark, David, Ellen (and now one of my baseball hero’s – Bob Gibson), I offer the following prayer to God to give you strength during your illness, to give your family strength to help you and to hopefully offer you some peace of mind.

I am sunk in the abysmal swamp
where there is no foothold;
I have reached the watery depths;
the flood overwhelms me.

Turn to the Lord in your need, and you will live.

But I pray to you, O LORD,
for the time of your favor, O God!
In your great kindness answer me
with your constant help.

Turn to the Lord in your need, and you will live.

But I am afflicted and in pain;
let your saving help, O God, protect me;
I will praise the name of God in song,
and I will glorify him with thanksgiving.

Turn to the Lord in your need, and you will live.

“See, you lowly ones, and be glad;
you who seek God, may your hearts revive!
For the LORD hears the poor,
and his own who are in bonds he spurns not.”

Turn to the Lord in your need, and you will live.

In your great mercy God, I pray that you heal the people I have mentioned above (and all those not mentioned but need your graces).  Give them the courage to have faith in You, an almighty and loving Father; a Father who cares for all, heals all.  For those in need of healing – reach your hands out to touch God; reach your hands out to grab onto His healing graces.  Do not let your hearts be troubled – have faith in God. Pray for the strength to endure; pray for the courage to let God’s will be done in and through you.  In Jesus’ name, we offer all our prayers, sufferings, joys and sorrows for the greater glory of God.  Amen.

Do something great for our Lord today – if you hear His voice – harden not your heart.

God’s will, not mine, be done.

Be not afraid; just have faith.

Jesus, I trust in You.

He must increase; I must decrease.
