Had the grandkids over last night and spent some quality time with them. Told myself I would send out this blog after they went home and after the Cardinal game was over. Little did I know that our response psalm for today would be the theme for the Cardinal game. After 19 innings, a combined 48 strikeouts, 30+ men left on base, and almost 8 hours of baseball, the Cardinals lost 3-2. So here I am, exhausted, at 3:45 AM, honoring my commitment to type this blog. Forgive me if I’m brief – I would like to get 45 minutes of sleep in before my alarm goes off at 4:30 AM. Who intentionally walks the bases loaded to get to a player who was a triple shy of the cycle — and he didn’t start the game until the bottom of the 9th inning?!? I digress.
Do something great for our Lord today – buy me a mocha triple espresso…I think I’m gonna need it.
God’s will, not mine, be done.
Be not afraid; just have faith.
Jesus, I trust in You.
He must increase; I must decrease.
