Today’s message is rather brief. Abandon your prejudices. The Samaritans wouldn’t let Jesus stay there because that wasn’t his main destination – Jerusalem was. John and James – the sons of thunder – felt like they had been dissed (disrespected to those of us 50 and over) and wanted to call down fire from heaven to consume them. I guess that would teach them a lesson. We must all learn how to respond the way Jesus did – get over it. When someone disrespects you, respect them back. When someone hates you, love them back. When someone wrongs you, forgive…
Jesus turned and rebuked them,
and they journeyed to another village.
Don’t make a mountain out of a mole hill rather make lemonade out of lemons.
Do something great for our Lord today – live your life like Jesus, don’t get upset in the moment but move on to another village.
God’s will, not mine, be done.
Be not afraid; just have faith.
Jesus, I trust in You.
He must increase; I must decrease.
But you, man of God, pursue righteousness,
devotion, faith, love, patience, and gentleness.
Compete well for the faith.
