I will be brief this morning. I don’t know that I will post tomorrow morning because I will treat tomorrow as I do most Sunday’s and not post. You won’t need me to post anything because God has gifted us a Savior. Go to Church and let that be your inspiration tomorrow. So today let me wish you all a Merry Christmas. May the light of Christ shine on you today, tomorrow and everyday you are blessed to live. Live in His love; live in His light; live in His peace. The words from Today’s Gospel – The Canticle of Zachariah – are more inspiration that I could ever offer you. Enjoy – and again – Merry Christmas.
“Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel;
for he has come to his people and set them free.
He has raised up for us a mighty Savior,
born of the house of his servant David.
Through his prophets he promised of old
that he would save us from our enemies,
from the hands of all who hate us.
He promised to show mercy to our fathers
and to remember his holy covenant.
This was the oath he swore to our father Abraham:
to set us free from the hand of our enemies,
free to worship him without fear,
holy and righteous in his sight
all the days of our life.
You, my child, shall be called the prophet of the Most High,
for you will go before the Lord to prepare his way,
to give his people knowledge of salvation
by the forgiveness of their sins.
In the tender compassion of our God
the dawn from on high shall break upon us,
to shine on those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death,
and to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
Do something great for our Lord today – accept His gift of Love, accept His Word – the Word that was made flesh and dwelt among us -accept His Son and our Savior – Jesus Christ the Lord. Merry Christmas.
God’s will, not mine, be done.
Be not afraid; just have faith.
Jesus, I trust in You.
He must increase; I must decrease.
But you man of God chose righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience and gentleness. Compete well for the faith.
Tomorrow the wickedness of the earth will be destroyed:
the Savior of the world will reign over us.
Jerry, Merry Christmas to you, Sarah, and your family!
