What was from the beginning,
what we have heard,
what we have seen with our eyes,
what we looked upon
and touched with our hands
concerns the Word of life —
for the life was made visible;
we have seen it and testify to it
and proclaim to you the eternal life
that was with the Father and was made visible to us—
what we have seen and heard
we proclaim now to you,
so that you too may have fellowship with us;
for our fellowship is with the Father
and with his Son, Jesus Christ.
We are writing this so that our joy may be complete.
Where is it that you find God? What makes your joy complete? With whom do you seek fellowship?
I love Christmas. Construction wise, it is a slow week for most (except my electricians at GM) so I’m able to take time off and just spend it with my family. My daughter and her husband are in from North Hollywood and we are trying to make the most of what little time we have together. Last night we played hearts until our eyes burned. Today, we will head out and watch our son’s basketball team compete in the Meramec Holiday Basketball Tournament. Next week we will watch our daughter play for Marquette High School. I am writing this to tell you that my joy is complete. Time with my family is what I live for and I am getting that in large doses this week. My answer to all three questions above is my family. I hope you are all able to find joy this Holiday season.
Do something great for our Lord today – find fellowship with Him. He came to earth to be with you – take advantage of that beautiful relationship.
God’s will, not mine, be done.
Be not afraid; just have faith.
Jesus, I trust in You.
He must increase; I must decrease.
But you man of God chose righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience and gentleness. Compete well for the faith.
