Today will be short and sweet.
First a correction. I believe I said Samuel was given the gift of wisdom in yesterday’s post. If I were a wiser man, I would have said Solomon. My apologies.
Second, its been a tough read in our “first” readings this week. God did great things for the people and kings of Israel for them only to look past his good works and join in with their own. Today’s verse from the Psalm sums up my theme for today – may we never forget the God who has saved us, Who has done great things for us, Who suffered and died as expiation for our sins. Praise and Honor to the the Holy Trinity; the Maker of all things, the Savior Who became man and the Spirit Who guides me. Praise, Honor and Glory.
Do something great for our Lord today – spent just a few minutes thinking of all the wondrous deeds the Holy Trinity has done for you.
God’s will, not mine, be done.
Be not afraid; just have faith.
Jesus, I trust in You.
He must increase; I must decrease.
Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.
But you man of God chose righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience and gentleness. Compete well for the faith.
