How long are you going to keep us in suspense?

I’m taking free license of this quote from our Gospel today.  The Jews asked this of Jesus, now I’m asking this of our Archbishop – How long are you going to keep us in suspense?

I am begging you Archbishop to lead like Christ; to be bold in your service as our Shepherd and come up with a plan that gets your flock back into the “pastures” of our Churches – sooner rather than later.  It has been 6 long weeks without the parishioners in the pews.  Our readings the past couple of days speaks of the boldness of the Apostles, speaking out bravely in defense of their faith.  The Gospels tell of the Shepherd and His flock.  Be Bold Archbishop Carlson, lead your people bravely.  Do not be afraid; just have faith (where have I read that before?).

The works I do in my Father’s name testify to me…My sheep hear my voice; I know them, and they follow me.

Archbishop Carlson, we are ready to follow you.  We are ready to hear your voice proclaim…OPEN WIDE THE DOORS TO CHRIST.  COME AND BE FED BY THE WORD AND HIS FLESH.  NOW IS AN ACCEPTABLE TIME.

Do something great for our Lord – pray for a return to the Mass; pray for a that blessed family reunion we experience every Sunday morning with our family in faith.

God’s will, not mine, be done.

Be not afraid; just have faith.

Jesus, I trust in You.

He must increase; I must decrease.

Lord, if You wish, You can make me clean.

But you man of God chose righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience and gentleness.  Compete well for the faith.

Eternal God, in Whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion – inexhaustible, look kindly on us and extend Your mercy in us so that in difficult moments we may not despair nor become despondent but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.
