If you remain in my word, you will truly be my disciples, and you will know the truth, says the Lord.

Thanks be to God!!!  Yesterday’s post was imploring the Archdiocese of St. Louis to allow for the faithful to attend Mass again.  Hit the hyper link I started this post with because they announced yesterday that May 18th is the date for public Masses to resume.  Thanks be to God!!!  I don’t know that there could be more fitting readings to reflect on today.

R.    (3cd)  All the ends of the earth have seen the saving power of God.
Sing to the LORD a new song,
for he has done wondrous deeds;
His right hand has won victory for him,
his holy arm.
R.    All the ends of the earth have seen the saving power of God.
The LORD has made his salvation known:
in the sight of the nations he has revealed his justice.
He has remembered his kindness and his faithfulness
toward the house of Israel.
R.    All the ends of the earth have seen the saving power of God.
All the ends of the earth have seen
the salvation by our God.
Sing joyfully to the LORD, all you lands;
break into song; sing praise.
R.    All the ends of the earth have seen the saving power of God.

We will wait now for the guidelines that will direct us on how we will be allowed to attend our Holy Mass. I know we must be patient with this process but nevertheless I am excited to see this announcement from Archbishop Carlson.

Do something great for our Lord today – make yourself ready for the return to Mass and to once again receive the blessed sacrament.  This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.

God’s will, not mine, be done.

Be not afraid; just have faith.

Jesus, I trust in You.

He must increase; I must decrease.

Lord, if You wish, You can make me clean.

But you man of God chose righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience and gentleness.  Compete well for the faith.

Eternal God, in Whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion – inexhaustible, look kindly on us and increase Your mercy in us so that in difficult moments, we may not despair nor become despondent but with great confidence, submit ourselves to Your holy will which is Love and Mercy itself.
