I woke up this morning and realized – hey, I’ve still got one day of vacation left before getting back into the race. I got up, took my bride to work after her extended Christmas vacation, and now I’m back home. Pulled up today’s readings for Mass and sat down to type this post AND…I got nothing right now. I read through Bishop Barren’s reflection and nothing. So rather than bore you with a bunch of words that aren’t coming to me this morning, how about a quick prayer for each of you who read this today. It is my hope that your 2021 be a blessed and fruitful year. May your relationship with our Holy Trinity grow stronger with each dawn of a new day.
Do something great for our Lord today – simply offer praise to His holy name and thank Him for the life you have, the people you love and the day you are about to experience.
I firmly resolve, with the help of Your grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin.
God’s will, not mine, be done.
Be not afraid; just have faith.
Jesus, I trust in You.
He must increase; I must decrease.
Lord, if You wish, You can make me clean.
But you man of God chose righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience and gentleness. Compete well for the faith.
Hoping the same for 2021 for you, Sarah, and your family.
