‘The God of our ancestors designated you to know his will, to see the Righteous One, and to hear the sound of his voice; for you will be his witness before all to what you have seen and heard. Now, why delay? Get up and have yourself baptized and your sins washed away, calling upon his name.’”

It’s going to be a busy couple of weeks at work – long hours and deadlines to meet so the next few weeks will be brief.

It’s only Monday morning, but do you see a theme developing from yesterday’s first reading and now again today? God is calling. He called Jonah and what did Jonah do – ran in the opposite direction! Jesus called out to Saul and knocked Saul off his a_ _ in doing it! God is still calling today. He is calling me; He is calling you. Will it take three days in the belly of the great fish or getting knocked onto your backside in order for Him to get your attention?

Do something great for our Lord today – listen for and to His call. Proclaim the great news that Jesus is the Lord.

R.    (Mark 16:15)  Go out to all the world, and tell the Good News.
Praise the LORD, all you nations;
    glorify him, all you peoples!

R.    Go out to all the world, and tell the Good News.
For steadfast is his kindness toward us,
    and the fidelity of the Lord endures forever.

R.    Go out to all the world, and tell the Good News.

I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasion of sin.

God’s will, not mine, be done.

Be not afraid; just have faith.

Jesus, I trust in You.

He must increase; I must decrease.

Lord, if You wish, You can make me clean.

But you man of God chose righteousness, devotion, faith, love, patience and gentleness. Compete well for the faith.
